Pokemon of the Day 

Being the stage one of one of the starting Pokemon in the Original GameBoy game series Charmeleon has been one of the most popular Pokemon for a long time. Also contributing to Chameleon's popularity is the fact that his stage 2 evolution is Charizard, who is by far one of the most popular Pokemon of all time. Charmeleon is a fire-type Pokemon, and has resistance to fire, ice, grass, bug, steel and fairy. Also, Charmeleon is weak against water, ground, and rock-type Pokemon. Charmeleon makes several appearances in the anime series as he is one of Ash's main Pokemon he uses. Charmeleon is most noted in the anime series as a Pokemon who does not trust or listen to Ash. The reason for this is Charmeleon believes that Ash has not proved himself to Charmeleon as a trainer, and therefore not worthy of training Charmeleon.

Evolutionary Chain

Charmander is a basic type Pokemon. His stage one Pokemon is Charmeleon, and his stage three evolution is Charizard.

Fun Facts:

1. Charmeleon much like Charmander's life force comes from the light on the end of his tail.
2. Charmeleon evolves into Charizard at level 36.
3. Charmeleon gainied much of his popularity from the Red version of the original GameBoy games.
4. Charmeleon will die if the light on his tail goes out.
5. Charmeleon is the second fire type Pokemon in the national Pokedex.
